Blue Spring

This morning, the drab grays and browns of the long winter were broken by flashes of brilliant blue - the bluebirds are back! Oh! They are like a visual song, I love them so! I opened the door and was greeted by a chorus of chirps and twitters announcing that not only is the snow gone (again) but the air is warmer and smells distinctly springy. Oh, wait: That is mud!

But, I can deal with mud when it is accompanied by bird song and flashes of blue... how about you?
