The Absent Mind of a 4 Year Old Male

What was that I was saying earlier? Anyway, Phinehas just broke a very nice pyrex dish of mine. He dropped it on the concrete porch. What was he doing? Carrying Tiger Tom inside of it, pretending he (the cat) was dead, and taking him away so people could see him. (I had to bite my cheek to keep from laughing as I told him that that was NOT what he should have been doing!)

It continues! After the glass was cleaned up, Phin was outside. He came running in and said to his Papa, "I just stepped on a piece of that broken glass that you missed!" Andrew said, "What did you do with the piece you stepped on." Phin's reply? "I put it back on the concrete!"

And then, later:

Phin came rushing in. "Mama, Mama! Papa is bringing the laundry in for you!"

"Wow!" I said. "He must love me!"

"Yeah, and I do too!"

"You love me?"

"No, I love Papa and Papa loves you!"
